Can drivers check in from different depot locations each day?

Yes. Each depot is set up as a separate branch in TheCheckIn with its own GPS geofence. Drivers check in from whichever depot they're starting from that day. The check-in records which location they started from, what time they arrived, and whether they were within the geofenced zone.

What if a driver checks in from their home instead of the depot?

GPS geofencing catches this. You define the acceptable radius around each depot (e.g. 200 meters). If a driver tries to check in from outside that radius, the check-in is blocked or flagged as out-of-zone. Combined with face recognition, you know both who checked in and exactly where they were when they did it.

Does TheCheckIn track the driver throughout the delivery route?

TheCheckIn is an attendance tool — it records check-in (start of shift at depot) and check-out (end of shift). It captures GPS location at those moments but does not continuously track drivers throughout their route. For full route tracking, a dedicated fleet management tool would be needed alongside TheCheckIn.

Our drivers start very early — 4am or 5am. Does the system handle that?

Yes. Shift start times are fully configurable — you can set up a 4am shift, a 6am shift, a night shift starting at 10pm, anything you need. Late arrivals are flagged relative to the shift's own configured start time.

Set up each depot as a branch

Add each depot or warehouse location in the admin dashboard. Set the GPS geofence radius — typically 200–500 metres. Drivers assigned to a depot must check in from within that zone. Takes 5 minutes to configure each location.

Driver checks in at the depot

When a driver arrives at the depot before their run, they open the app and complete a face check-in. The app captures their GPS location at that moment. If they're outside the geofenced zone, the check-in is blocked. Takes 5 seconds.

Operations manager sees who's dispatched

The dashboard shows which depots are fully staffed and which have drivers missing. Before the first run starts, you can see if a driver hasn't shown up — and arrange a replacement before deliveries are delayed.
